Uphill battle in electronic music

At ADE, I attended a breakfast session on bias in the music industry, led by Nadine Pertsch and hosted by BumaStemra. The room was alive with honesty and courage. Stories were shared about the uphill battle women still face in electronic music, not being taken seriously, being booked for the wrong reasons, or being pushed out.
It made me reflect on my own role. The truth is, most shows feature male artists. On my label, 90% of the producers are male. That’s something I take seriously. I want every voice to be heard and every talent to have a platform to share their music.
So here’s my ask:
If you're a female or gender-diverse techno producer reading this, I want to hear your music. drop your track
I listen to everything. I’m looking for tracks that convey power, clarity, and purpose. Music that reflects the same energy you bring to your craft. Let’s open more doors, together.
Thanks for being part of this movement. Let’s keep showing up, listening with intention, and building something better; one track, one mix, one connection at a time.
See you next week.
