The Midnight Project #181

It’s Wednesday, which means a brand-new episode is now live; ready to fire up your day, your night, or that in-between moment when only techno makes sense.

We open strong with the Massano & Doriann remix of “Your Mind” by Adam Beyer & Bart Skils, and from there the pressure only builds. A big highlight early in the set: Slim Black’s remix of Layton Giordani’s “Hold It Down,” it’s punchy, driving, and available as a free download on Slim Black’s SoundCloud.

Mid-set, I brought back one that means a lot to me: “Vault.” A classic that still holds the line. Around it, you’ll hear new sounds from Alan Fitzpatrick, Simina Grigoriu, UMEK, NAEMS, GIULIA (IT), and more. Building toward a heavy, acid-fueled finish.

And now, let me take you behind the scenes for a minute…

One of the first online radio networks to go live in 1999, DI.FM has grown into a destination and lifestyle for over 3 million unique listeners who tune in every month. DI.FM offers something unique for every electronic music fan, no matter what style of music you love.

The Midnight Project started on my laptop, with big ideas. Over time, it grew, not just in reach, but in community. Now, it’s airing weekly on DI.FM to over 60,000 global listeners, and is being broadcast on FM stations from Turkey to Holland. That means this sound, our sound, is riding the real airwaves, from car radios in Istanbul to backrooms in Rotterdam.

But the digital side is just as strong. The show lives online with full support from the 1001Tracklists community, where IAMSVRP consistently uploads each episode so Midnighters worldwide can follow every moment. And once a year, during ADE in Amsterdam, the 1001 founders invite me out for a caipirinha at their award show, to celebrate the project and this community we’ve built together.

None of this would have happened without your support. You keep showing up, sharing the vibe, and pushing this sound forward.
