Focus: Thomas Schumacher

This week’s Classic of the Week highlights Thomas Schumacher. What makes him truly special is not only that he has been active since the 1990s, but that he has remained relevant across multiple generations of techno. He lived through the rave era, the transformation of club culture, and the industry's full digital evolution, adapting each time without losing his identity. As a producer and DJ, he has consistently delivered at the highest level, and through his label, Electric Ballroom, he has created a platform to promote new music and support emerging talent. That combination of longevity, adaptability, and leadership is rare. He is not just part of techno history; he continues to shape its present.

Love from Holland

On a personal note, I just landed in the Netherlands. In addition to music, I serve on the supervisory board of a mental health care organization that supports people facing psychological challenges. In simple terms, I help oversee and guide the organization at a strategic level. Helping people is not separate from music for me; it is part of my purpose. Everything I do is rooted in making a positive impact.

Write a review

If The Midnight Project is part of your weekly ritual, I would truly appreciate your support with a review on Apple Podcasts. Reviews help the show rank higher and become more visible. The more visible the show becomes, the more promos and exclusive music I receive from artists and labels.

Thank you for building this with me.
