The Midnight Project #220

The Midnight Project #220

First of all: thank you. Last Thursday's rooftop birthday set was packed, and so many of you showed up to celebrate. That means more than any gift.

Hungarian StadiumX joined me behind the decks last Thursday

I gave myself a birthday gift at the end of the set. I dropped a Bruno Power bootleg of Opus as the closer, and the Tomorrowland crew went absolutely nuts. Nine minutes of that build on a rooftop at night, everyone waiting for the drop together. Watch the moment here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Db_1UtXK6oM/

If you were there, you know. If you were not, that video alone is reason enough to come to the next one on August 25th.

Episode #220

The Midnight Project | Weekly Techno by Sebastiaan Hooft
Sebastiaan Hooft’s weekly techno show. 60,000+ listeners discover fresh underground tracks every Wednesday. Listen to new episodes here.

Episode #220 opens deep, then builds into a driving second half. The moment to listen for is a remastered Thomas Schumacher remix of a true nineties classic on Bonzai Classics. If you were dancing back then, you will know it from the first bars. If you were not, you are about to understand why we still talk about it. Marco Faraone on DCLTD and an Ida Engberg remix carry the peak, and Natura Viva Black lands three records in one show. Again.

Where to play in winter?

Now I have a question for you. Summer is in full effect here on the island, but winter is coming, and I am planning where to play next. Your city? A club you love? A festival? Hit reply and tell me where The Midnight Project sound belongs. I read everything, and I mean this one literally.

See you at midnight,

Sebastiaan
