The hour opens with something five days old, Zafer Atabey's Keep It Going on TRAGEDIE, then straight into the deep end with Rino Cerrone and Avision. The throwback of the week is Cirez D's On Off, Eric Prydz in his techno skin on his own Mouseville imprint, still untouchable. My favourite moment is Mescaline, the psytrance original from 1200 Micrograms rebuilt by Victor Ruiz and Alex Stein for VOLTA, out last week and already near the top of the peak time chart. After that, it stays heavy through Belocca, Nikoretti, Devid Dega, and Sisko Electrofanatik, and we finish with Alan Fitzpatrick, Franco Smith, and Marie Vaunt with Space 92 on TAKEOFF.

Now the news
I have closed my Tomorrowland Rooftop residency. Twelve of the evenings were mine this season, and that is huge. Some artists have earned an hour at the rooftop and have not been handed one, and the new government sound restrictions got a bit too tight for my sound. September goes to the guests who worked for it.
This year, the rooftop gave me a huge run. Korolova, Lilly Palmer, and Steve Aoki all came through as my guests, along with plenty of others, and every one of those nights was a blast. Twelve nights, a birthday on the roof, and a crowd that climbed those stairs week after week. Thank you for every one of them. We built something real up there, and I am glad it carries on without me behind the booth.
What comes next is already moving. I am in Amsterdam on Friday for a sold-out show at Paradiso, and I am spending September choosing where this goes rather than repeating where it has been.
So here is what I ask from you this week. Not a request, an invitation. Tell me about the room where techno actually lands in your city. The floor that gets it, the promoter who books on taste instead of follower count, the festival stage that still takes a risk. I read every reply, and the best rooms I have ever played came from a Midnighter pointing at a door I had not seen. That is how this show has always worked.
