Yes, that’s a lot of Drumcode. Eight of the twelve tracks, to be exact. For the newer Midnighters: Drumcode is Adam Beyer’s label, thirty years old this year, and the home of a big part of the techno you hear on this show. What they released around ADE is some of the strongest music I’ve heard from them in years.

Friday night at Bears
Flight Mode at Bears was exactly what ADE should be: a small room, a big sound, and people who came for the music. To everyone who was there, thank you for turning a Friday in Amsterdam into one of my favourite nights of the year. The full set will be online soon via the host, Sagia. I’ll send the link as soon as it’s up.

A few of you came to the show, and we ended up exchanging stroopwafels. I’m not sure that’s how techno is supposed to work, but it’s how this community works, and I wouldn’t change it.
What’s next
Austria is confirmed for winter. Portugal and Istanbul are in the works, and I’ll share dates the moment they’re locked. And closer to home: I’ll be playing a few sets on Ibiza this winter, and a hot Ibiza summer residency is unlocked this week.
Write a line

Here’s something you can do for the show that costs nothing and takes a minute. This hour has exactly ten ratings. Ten. Apple’s algorithm doesn’t count how many of you press play every Wednesday; it counts ratings and reviews, and that decides whether this show gets put in front of people who’ve never heard it. So if you listen on an Apple device: open the show, scroll down to Ratings & Reviews, tap the stars, and write one line. That’s all. It’s the single most useful thing a Midnighter can do for this community right now.

Keep it going
A new hour every Wednesday, from wherever I am to wherever you are. If this one hits, send it to one friend who gets it. That’s how this community grows, one Midnighter at a time.
And hit reply and tell me which track hit hardest. I read everything.
See you at midnight,
Sebastiaan
